Well, I heard a couple of suggestions come my way last week. I just wanted to share them with you. Not sure why. Just cause!

1) One person suggested we bring back extra points. 1 point from the 5. Two points from the 10. It will reduce the amount of OT games and it adds a little strategy. I personally don't care either way. Just remember, those extra points eat up plays. We can put it up for a vote for next year.

2) One person suggested we add a second receiver on the punts. That way it gives the receiving team more options, like ummm option. Again, I am ambivalent to this suggestion. I personally think it adds more risk to your runbacks. If you pitch it, and it gets fumbled, it's a turnover. No one in their right mind would pitch that ball, but some of you just might. Again, it would be a good one to vote on.

3) One other suggestion I received is a bit more complicated. If a receiver bobbles a pass and while they are bobbling it, their flag gets pulled, they should still be down right after they have control. Right now, the receiver is not considered down until the receiver has full control of the ball. What this person is suggesting is if the receiver makes contact with the ball then they should be eligible to have their flag pulled whether they have control or not. It would be the same as if they get tackled while bobbling the ball. This would not apply if a receiver's flag is pulled before he attempts to catch a pass. Now I can see the point of this, but that is a significant change to our rules. Something to think about.

Switch to 7 secs for the QB to throw the ball.
